How to get to Ha Long Bay from Hanoi?
Train from Hanoi to Ha Long: You can choose the HALONG EXPRESS tourist train which departs from the Gia Lam station. It takes you about five hours to come to Ha Long with price about 100.000 VND/ ticket/ person. It is very easy to use Google Maps for checking this.
Coach: Most of coaches to Ha Long are usually concentrated at My Dinh, Luong Yen stations. These car trips are spaced approximately 5-15 minutes/ trip.
Bike: From Hanoi to Ha Long, you can follow 2 following trips:
• From Hanoi, you follow the 5 road to Sai Dong fork to go Bac Ninh. Then from Bac Ninh, you follow 18 road to go Pha Lai – Chi Linh – Dong Trieu – Uong Bi – Ha Long. The total of this route is about 155km.
• From Noi Bai airport – Bac Ninh – 18A highway, you go Pha Lai – Sao Do – Dong Trieu – Uong Bi – Ha Long. It is about 160km.
Vehicle to visit when travelling Ha Long
In the event of moving inside the city, you are able to choose the following taxi maker: Taxi 886 – Mong Cai, Ha Long, Hon Gai, Mai Linh…Visit the bay, you can contact to rent boats at Bai Chay and Ha Long tourist wharf, Duong Hai company, Ha Long Bay Service Center or Hai Au company.
Besides, you can also rent a boat to visit Bay by day. Price will depend on your renting time and which kind of boat you rent. You should contact in advance to avoid the high price situation.
